Welcome to Bramblemere, a new fictional world taking root among sunlit vineyards, quiet lake shores, and the lives of people you'll soon come to know by heart. Here, beautiful beginnings often happen over supper, when someone pulls up another chair and a stranger finds a reason to stay.
At the heart of this world is Saltstone Vineyard & Lodge, where a long-table gathering began in 1948 to help a community rebuild after a church fire. What started as a way to bring neighbors together became a tradition carried through generations. There's room for laughter that travels from one end to the other, news that can't wait until dessert, and the person who arrives alone but leaves with an invitation to come back.
Bramblemere's stories will follow love, friendship, family, and the courage it takes to begin again. Expect women with something to say, men worth getting to know, a little mischief, and people whose lives are as complicated as their intentions are good. Beyond the table, vineyard paths, treehouse cabins, and evenings by the lake offer plenty of places for a heart to get itself into trouble.
As this world comes to life, we'll share glimpses of its stories, the places that inspired them, and recipes meant to be passed around. We hope you'll settle in, find a favorite, and feel at home long before you turn the first page.
Book One
Fox Hollow
Where life slows down and love stays.
Brooke Tanner is not coming apart. She is tired, and those two get confused constantly by people who have never been the only adult in a house.
She did not book this week. She does not know why the place has no front desk, no menu, and one chair at the long table that nobody ever sits in. And she has no idea what to do about a man who has been invited here every June of his life, has never come for a single one, and now cannot seem to stop noticing her.
Come for the week. Stay for what it started. The Bramblemere promise, on every book in the world.

Where the stories happen
- The Table
- Long enough to seat most of a county, under a vine-covered pergola on the west arm of the cove. Sourdough from Lucia's starter, a hundred years old and carried here from Italy, baked daily in the stone oven at the end of the pergola. A bell rings. Everyone comes.
- Saltstone
- The vineyard and lodge at the heart of it, where the grapes come up out of mineral soil and the terrace lanterns double in the water on the rare still evening.
- The Bakery
- Every special is extra special. The cheesecakes, the specialty apple pie cinnamon rolls too big to eat in one sitting, the quarter-pound cookies with so many options the bakers lose count.
- The Ridge
- Treehouse cabins up a one-lane road, each one facing the cove. By day the mountain looks untouched. At night the lights read like stars on the water.
- The Lake
- Vineyard paths, a boardwalk, a dock at the bottom of a great many steps, and an island out in the water that you can only reach by boat.
